bye bye car

Its mum's birthday tomorrow, and Dad got her a new car... crazy I know - but its time to upgrade, which means we get her old one. But I'm sad, the lady who delivered the car was surprised because she said that people are normally more excited about their new car.

The reason why I'm sad is because it means that we traded in my car... my little subie, it was just so cool. I don't care if the new one is shinier, has less 'love touches' or dings (that my brother put there!), has mag wheels or whatever, its just not the same as my little subie. There's just something special about the car you learn to drive on, and its sad to see it drive down the street for the last time driven by someone who I don't know. It was so comfortable, and just had everything perfect, it handled like a dream and cornered perfectly - and had 3 glove boxes!! What more could you want? I'm just not going to feel comfortable doing 2 wheelers or rally turns in the other car, which also has those silly seats that are too hard to get out of.

I must sound so ungrateful, but i'm just a little attached to the old car - and also don't really see the need for extras that you pay thousands for that supposedtly look good, but don't make a difference to the driving experience. (oh and dad kinda scratched it when he was driving it into the garage too - rather funny coz he was so cocky about it... but it ended up being paint scratched off the door frame, and was able to wipe it off..)

bye bye white car, I'll miss you and all the fun we had together, the good times, the long chats on the way home to peoples houses, the long rides up the mountains and along the coast, the going round the round-a-bout (i went around 10 times last night on the way home as a last hurrah), the 2 weeling, the glove boxes and the all round beauty that was my subie!

Related sad things that happened today: I also lost my favourite lip gloss on the train, tragedy!

Ahh the subie - good times after the year 12 walkathon/fete (hence the face paint)

yeah- it might do it better, but I'm not game to do it...
mum's new car almost looks like with a bit of bling and duff-duff music I could hoon it with the brudas at brigton on a friday night...

Thats a lie and you know it - you will totally ride with me again!
